Below is the schedule I propose for the Org 2.0 conference. My experience with these events is that keeping things pretty light is important, so I’ve tried to reduce the total number of sessions to six, with each scheduled for 45 minutes and a 10-15 minute break between to give people time to wrap up and move to the next session.
9:30-10:00 – Keynote/kickoff
10-10:45am – first session
11-11:45pm – second session
12-1:15 – lunch (food+speaker)
1:30-2:15 third session
2:30-3:15 fourth session
3:30-4:15 “open session”
4:15-5:00 wrap up and raffle
6:00pm afterparty/networking event
The idea for the open session is to have either lasst-minute presentations or ad-hoc discussions that would carry from earlier discussions during the day. Those topics could announced during the lunch or just before the open discussion.
The raffle would be an good thing to close the day with to keep everyone around until the end of the day, and it would make a good opportunity for sponsors to participate.
Please let me know your thoughts on this. I think we need to gather a “content committee” together to start identifying potential presenters and stetting the schedule for the day.
